Libertarians for Learning attended a full day workshop in Baton Rouge on June 6, 2024 to learn all about Micro Schools. Sponsored by Embark, a non-profit focused on helping create “New Schools for Mississippi”, this 6 hour crash course provided the fundamentals for organizing and opening a new school or more aptly titled “Micro Schools” anywhere and everywhere in Mississippi.  It was amazing to meet open minded educators who are dedicated to creating new, better, non-compulsory, learning centers for our children.   I learned WE have 7 existing “Micro Schools” operating between Gulfport-Biloxi-Ocean Springs.  In conjunction with Education Savings Accounts for ALL MS children, these learning centers will bring a wave of higher standards and better educational results for this generation of children in Mississippi to thrive in.  I can’t wait for Education Savings Accounts for all children so families all across Mississippi can benefit from using these dollars to educate their children as they see fit and for the best benefit of the child.  FREE people need more choices for educating their children.
